Wardell Stephen Curry came to be on March 14, 1988, to Sonya Curry and former NBA basketball player Dell Curry in Akron, Ohio and raised in Charlotte North Carolina. Stephen’s love for basketball began when his father started taking both he and his awesome younger brother Seth who currently plays to the Portland Trail Blazer practice shoots with all the Charlotte Raptors during warm-ups. Stephen enjoyed success with the Queensway Christian College in Toronto after relocating there. On moving to Charlotte he participating in Charlotte Christian High school where he have also been successful. Though he wished to play basketball in college to the Virginia Tech Hokies which has been inspired by his father’s career where he was offered a walk-on spot. Freshman Season
Before début college game to the Davidson Wildcats, head coach Bob McKillop complimented Curry saying “Wait ‘til the thing is Curry. He is something special”.
